The Breakers' story starts thousands of miles away at the edge of our continent on a pier in the Santa Monica bay. In fact, you can catch a glimpse of this very pier when you come to visit us. It is here, listening to the melodious sound of the ocean waves and digging into the fresh catch offered by local eateries that the concept was born.

To bring this hip, California Atmosphere back to Tyler, Texas was the next step. Everything from the surfboards on the wall to the fish on the plate was going to have to be imported. As the theme came together it became obvious that it was going to be special.

Breakers Seafood is locally owned and operated. In 1988 our family left the hustle and bustle of Southern California to make Tyler Texas our new home. Our reason for relocating was to reduce the stresses of city life, so we could take a deep breath and smell the Roses! What better city to smell the roses than the Rose Capitol Tyler Texas. Unfortunately once you've lived on the ocean you always need to go back for a visit.
